DeMayne has provided complimentary headshots to unemployed job seekers since 2020. The initiative was started to help boost morale during COVID – The tradition continues today.

DeMayne founded Shoot Forward in 2018 as a way of using a camera to give back to the community. Since 2018, DeMayne has provided more than 2000 complimentary headshots to unemployed job seekers, transitioning veterans, and citizens returning to society after incarceration.
The Numbers Don’t Lie
In a recent LinkedIn survey, over 200 HR professionals, business owners, and hiring managers were asked questions related to LinkedIn profile images. The results were somewhat alarming…
79% of respondents said that a candidate’s LinkedIn headshot helps them get to know a person better.
70% of those surveyed admitted that they overlook candidates without LinkedIn profile pictures.
96% of respondents rank LinkedIn profiles with professional headshots higher than those without.
It’s more than a picture!
In the same survey, 82% agreed that you shouldn’t judge a book by its cover. However, 71% also admitted to rejecting a candidate at least once solely based on their profile picture. Think about that for a second…
